Testing Measurement Invariance of Functional Assessment Scale Short-form for the Mentally ¥² - Focusing on Gender and Diagnosis Groups
Park Byung-Sun

Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to examine the factor structure of the Functional Assessment Scale Short-Form developed by previous research and to test its measurement invariance over gender as well as diagnosis groups. For this, data of 982 people with mentally ill were analyzed using a confirmatory factor analysis and a multiple-group confirmatory factor analysis. The study findings showed that the FAS-S fitted well to the factor structure presented by the original author and that its factor structures were invariant across gender as well as diagnosis groups. Finally, the implications of this study findings were discussed.
